BRANCH FOR INTERNATIONAL SURGERY

The University of British Columbia Branch for International Surgery was created to advance surgical care in international health. It came about as a desire to build on the national interest in surgical care in international health and the realization of the strength of international activity that already exists among “surgical” members of the UBC faculty. The Branch is committed to being collaborative and inclusive, extending involvement to all colleagues in the Faculty whose work includes surgical care or an interest in international health.

A partnership agreement with CNIS supports the Branch’s research grant activities and has been instrumental in supporting the development of the online course, SURG 510.
