About us

A Canada wide board of directors of respected professionals with administrative, financial, emergency medicine, surgical and educational expertise use a policy governance model for CNIS management. CNIS employs an International Director, Canadian Coordinator; secretary and bookkeeper with administrative costs kept at 12.5%.

The CNIS has had contracts with the Canadian Partnership Banch of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) on a continuous basis since July 1997, as well as three contracts with the Multilateral Branch of CIDA. CIDA evaluations have confirmed the efficacy of the development work. As a registered charity the CNIS is audited annually.
