CNIS would like to thank everyone who bought bricks and helped us establish a Surgical Skills Teaching Lab in Moshi, Tanzania.
CNIS has established 7 surgical skills teaching labs in Africa. These are designated buildings or parts of buildings where we can teach ongoing courses, store equipment and share life-saving skills with out African partners. Through generous donations from Royal Alexander Hospital Foundation and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Ottawa and funds raised through brick sales and fundraisers in Vancouver and Ottawa in 2010 helped establish and equip CNIS’ Surgical Skills Lab in Moshi, Tanzania. The lab is located on the second floor of the new building of the the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College.
