The Spirit of Volunteerism

CNIS_invites_volunteer_apprecation

Though all our volunteers make a vital contribution to our work, every year we select one volunteer who has made a particular difference. For 2009, for the first time the volunteer of the year award went to a group: the Okanagan Zambia Health Initiative who introduced CNIS surgical teachings to Zambia.

In addition to our more than 20 volunteer surgeons and obstetricians, CNIS has now over 80 active non-surgical volunteers from all over the world, assisting CNIS with graphics, flash-animation, cooking, editing, translations, sewing, model-construction, illustrating, office duties and events.

CNIS would like to thank all our volunteers. Without your generous contribution of that most precious of commodities, TIME, and your personal skills, aptitudes and abilities, CNIS could not serve the people it serves.

THANK YOU!
